Lots has been happening in class, as usual. Some of the things you can do to support your child in their learning this week include;

  • practising the days of the week.
  • reading poems.
  • talking about the food you are eating and where it comes from.

The children have been writing their own “Disgusting Sandwich” stories which they have finally finished, and they are brilliant, please do have a look when you come for Parents Evening.

The highlight of this week has been a visit by Mr Parsons. Yes he is a teacher here, but he visited us as part of his “other job” – as an author and performance poet – to help us mark World Poetry Day. The children were completely engaged and thoroughly excited by Mr Parsons performing poems from his book “My brother wears pink pants” and we felt so lucky to have such a talented staff member in our school. Mr Parsons’ book is available on Amazon, so do have a look.
